Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to support a diverse client portfolio through high‑level tax planning, compliance, and advisory work. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys solving complex tax challenges, collaborating with clients, and contributing to a high‑performing team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.

  • Research complex tax issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Develop and support tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities and improve financial outcomes.

  • Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and alignment with GAAP.

  • Partner with clients and internal team members to gather documentation and ensure timely, accurate filings.

  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records using accounting software, including QuickBooks.

  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and assist with financial statement preparation.

  • Stay current on evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, private industry, or consulting.

  • Experience or interest in a specialized tax area is a plus.

 

Licenses & Certifications

  • CPA, EA, or Attorney license preferred.

  • Additional tax‑related certifications are beneficial.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred.

  • Familiarity with tax research tools and tax compliance software is advantageous.

 

Additional Skills

  • Strong understanding of tax laws, including areas such as trusts, estates, and securities.

  • Solid foundation in tax accounting principles and practices.

  • Ability to research and interpret complex tax issues.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.
