Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Visalia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, combined with a robust background in financial analysis and reporting. You will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing costs, providing insights that will drive efficient financial planning and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and report on cost variances, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to management.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial reports and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-effective strategies and optimize financial performance.
• Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and processes to ensure integrity and compliance.
• Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities, offering critical analysis and recommendations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CMA certification is highly preferred; however, not required for consideration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role, with demonstrated analytical skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks Desktop is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
