Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Fresno. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in accounting and proven leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department's daily operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and reports.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, as well as report variances.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff to foster a high-performance team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including management roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
